When we moved to Long Island, New York it was difficult to find high quality Portuguese food products in the United States. We knew the taste of genuine Portuguese foods and wanted Americans to have the same wonderful flavors of Portugal. In 2006, we founded Carvalho Imports to bring products from Portugal's finest regional artisan producers to this country.

The regional products were found through family, friends and word of mouth. When I think of Portugal, I think of fantastic family meals where the food and wine created a sense of sharing at the table. Over the past few years, we have selected products which can help you prepare a truly Portuguese meal. Carvalho products let people travel into Portuguese culture and history by enjoying traditional artisan foods.
